SP7 Questionnaire

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?

Yes I do avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand.. and other acrylic-based yarns. I am "allergic" to acrylic, it's always made my skin irritated, and itch. So I avoid acrylic sweaters and all acrylic yarns for that main reason. I use wool, cotton and cashmere yarns. They don't have to be pricey, but they do need to be skin-friendly! For example, Knit Picks yarn is very reasonable (1.79 skein!) but it's gentle against the skin. Of course I won't turn away Rowan or Debbie Bliss yarns.. or Noro... I just adore their lines and can't get enough of them.

2. Do you spin? Crochet?– No, I would love to learn to spin.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)–I am sensitive to smoke, strong perfume and acrylic yarns!

10. What’s your favorite color? Or do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can’t stand?– I love navy blues... I do not like pastels!

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?– I am married, a baby on the way (boy) and one maltese!

18. What do you think about ponchos?–I think they look good on others, but I can't pull them off.

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?–Straight.20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?–I will use whatever I have, which are mostly wooden, as my husband has a handcarved knitting needle store

21. Are you a sock knitter? –no- a little intimidated by the 4 needles..
