What a Treat, Secret Pal!

Today was a really long, emotional day.

I checked the mail at days end.. and cannot tell you how much I appreciated a surprise package from my Secret Pal. Your timing could not have been better.

It's 4 skeins of NORO Kureyon... a gorgeous blend of colors. I've been dying to try NORO and my SP so thoughtfully sent me what I've been wishing for. It was sent perfectly packaged from the Carodan Farm Wool Shop in Virginia. (www.carodanfarm.com). Thank you Secret Pal! I will take pictures asap... I just couldn't wait to write a quick note here to say thank you so very much.. you've made my day!!!!!!!!!

Lot of new BABY CLOTHES...for a steal!

As our 13-pound baby skipped the newborn and zero to six month clothes stage, we have a showerload of freshly laundered baby clothes available. Make me an offer! the first (reasonable one) wins. I'm ready to ship everything to you!

sp8 Questionnaire

I've signed up for SP8, and my pal has already been in contact. So I better get this up!

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
My alltime favorite is Debbie Bliss! I also enjoy Rowan. I'm dying to try Noro.

What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I do not like acrylic, I have skin irritations with it and have since I was a child.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I have a couple wraps, but would always appreciate another.

3. How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I'm intermediate.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? Not yet.

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles,bath products etc.) Anything related to the beach.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
Jellybeans! I try to stay away from chocolate as I'm breastfeeding right now!

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
Do you spin? No but I would love to learn. I don't yet have a spindle.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) I love Sinatra and Jim Brickman!

9. What's your favorite color? Deep blues... I'm not a pastel person.

10. What is your family situation? New baby AJ just arrived. If you have a minute, I've posted his pictures.
Do you have any pets?Yes, one maltese named Pearl.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos? I love mittens. I'm not big on ponchos. I love lacey Rowan scarves!

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? I love to knit in the ribbing pattern.

13. What are you knitting right now? A sweater and a shrug.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts? Yes. I would LOVE a lacey shawl or scarf....or a needle wrap. Or socks. Geez, I could go on here.. :)

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? I have to say wooden since Scott hand-crafts them. I would love to try circulars, I don't have a pair.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift? Nope.

20. Is there anything that you collect? new, unique yarns!

21. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? Yes I would love to try Noro yarn! I would love a copy of a Rebecca magazine.

What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? Interweave..

22. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn? Spinning

23. Are you a sock knitter? no but would like to learn.
